Jordan Rando
At a very young age, Jordan decided that pursuing a career in art would give him a sense of purpose. As a portrait artist, he enjoys analyzing and capturing the nuances of an individual subject’s facial features. To Jordan, portraiture feels like an exploration because every face tells a unique story about the subject. “Drawing and painting people who possess faces that are different from my own, intrigue me because it feels like I’m exploring new territory and putting myself in the shoes of the person. It’s simply a break away from myself.” In 2008, Jordan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in illustration from the School of Visual Arts. He currently resides in New York honing his craft and accepts portrait commissions.
